The impact of online community

“But the believers who were scattered preached the Good News about Jesus wherever they went” – Acts 8:4 (NLT)

We want to live out Acts 8:4 in our efforts to share the gospel, but those who need to hear about Jesus the most, are not necessarily in our congregations, small gatherings or worship sessions. In our current digital age, we need to be where the people are and that is online. Recent studies show that the average time spent on the internet per person is almost 7 hours per day.

When work and social interactions are happening mostly online, it can cause people to feel isolated and lonely, creating the need to connect with others in a more meaningful way. Online communities play a significant role in people’s lives by becoming a digital space where they can belong. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if every time someone reached for their smartphone to go online, they could easily find and be connected to a digital ministry! This course will teach you exactly how to make this possible.

A bountiful harvest

More than half of the world’s population is online, so don’t miss out on the opportunity to expand your reach by learning how to create and build your own online community. Digital ministry cannot replace face-to-face interactions with people, but it is a powerful way to extend the gospel far beyond our physical limitations. By using your digital ministry in a purposeful way and under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, you will plant the seeds for a bountiful harvest.
